How uvled cured ink worksread count [272] release time:2020-01-10 21:04:00

The principle of UVLED ink is to irradiate with ultraviolet rays, and then use ultraviolet light of different wavelengths and energies to form and dry the ink. Using different UV spectra, different energies can be generated to polymerize monomers in different ink binders into polymers. Therefore, the color film of UVled ink has both good mechanical and chemical properties. Therefore, UVLED ink is widely used in printing and other industries.

The main advantages of UVLED ink are: (1) No solvent required;   (2) Good gloss and bright colors;

(3) Fast drying speed and low energy consumption;

(4) Water-resistant, solvent-resistant, and good wear resistance.

The photoinitiator in UVLED ink is a compound that is easily excited by light. It is excited into free radicals after absorbing light, and the energy is transferred to photosensitive molecules or photocrosslinking agents, causing the UV ink to undergo a photocuring reaction. At present, UV ink has become a relatively mature ink technology, and its pollutant emissions are almost zero. In addition to being solvent-free, UV ink also has the advantages of not being easy to paste, clear dots, bright and bright ink colors, excellent chemical resistance, and low consumption.

Traditional solvent-based inks need to be air-dried, infrared dried, or even dried naturally after printing. The required drying time ranges from minutes to days, and the production efficiency is low. Due to slow drying, problems such as staining, plate loss, and emulsification are prone to occur during the printing process, resulting in a decrease in printing quality. Solvent-based inks generally contain 30 to 70% organic solvents. These solvents continue to evaporate during the drying process of the ink and are completely discharged into the air. They are an important source of air pollution in the world today.

UV curing The ink is a reactive ink. Under the irradiation of ultraviolet light, it can be cured (dried) within a few seconds or even 1 second. It will not cause problems such as staining, off-page, and emulsification. It is especially suitable for high-speed printing and high-speed overprinting. Compared with ordinary solvent-based inks, the greater advantage of UV curing inks is its environmental protection performance.

Through detailed formula research, this technology can prepare efficient and affordable UV printing ink, which can be used for screen, gravure, embossed and other printing processes. This technology encompasses several products.
